we have a Cisco Unified Communication customer with a 2921 VSEC/K9 SRST router in Mexico with 2 connections
1. connection to our MPLS Network for on net VOIP and Data communication
2. connection to a 2nd carrier that provides SIP over DSL/IP to PSTN for off-net Voice connection
2921CUBE-->SIP Trunk-->DSL-->SIP/IP--PSTN
2921 VOIP and DATA---->IP/VPN (MPLS)
The concern is that this would be considered a split tunneling situation which our company prohibits (with one connection to our IPVPN private Network and another to a 3rd party IP Network (SIP over IP) which causes a security problem. The argument in favor states that the SIP Trunk although going over a 3rd party IP network it is still terminates and only terminates SIP on the CUBE, and no other IP traffic is passed through and should not be a split tunneling problem. Please advise. Thanks
