Using the IP phone all day. But 30 times a day I must lower the speaking volume down to 25% or I am accused of heavy breathing. don't even answer the phone any more without a quick turn down of te volume. Help

When you adjust the volume........ I am sure there is an option on the handset to "save" what you set it to?
Have you tried that?

Just to add to Kid's post, remember that the volume setting is dependent on the state of the phone. So just because you set the volume for the ringer, does not mean that you've set the call volume. For that, just pick up the handset or press new call and then adjust the volume. On the LCD, once you start using the volume up/down, you'll see the "Save buttopn"

No I can set the mic volume with the audio tuning wizard with the virtual IP phone but often when I go back later the setting that I put at 25% has drifted up to 100%. At times I can watch it stair step upward while on the phone. I click through the wizard and go next - next - next through setting the ear piece, the phone mic and the ringer but there is no save button.

So... is this a Desk Phone or a Soft Phone? If a soft phone (Ip communicator or CUPC softphone), try changing the mic volume on your OS and see if that helps.
