does anyone know if video on the 9971 function when the phone is using phone proxy to register?

Just curious, why would you use phone proxy if you the phone has VPN built in to connect to the ASA and CUCM?

Because the customer has already invested in phone proxy licensing and as I understand it, the ssl vpn licensing for the phone is a different license than their existing user ssl vpn licensing.

I believe with phone proxy, you are going to be limited with functionality with any Cisco IP phone. Its not meant to have full features running when using the Proxy. I have only used it with SCCP, so Im not sure what features will work with SIP. (Maybe the video will work)
Id recommend moving them in the future to the new ASA phone vpn setup.

The other problem with that is that they are not to CUCM 8 yet, they are on 7.1.5. Thank you for your response though

Does someone know if is it posible to register the 9971 directly on a Cisco TelePresence VCS?
what about auth, dual stream, firmware upgrades, etc?
