ipv6 Auto configuration of Router

Hi, does anybody knows why when I am doing autoconfiguration, I can't assign a network prefix on the fa0/3/0. only can do it on int gag0/0 and gig0/1.

Hi @smallkiddo26 ,
Probably because fa0/3/0 is a L2 interface (switched port), rather than a L3 interface (routed port). Can you please attach your Cisco Packet Tracer file.

Hi @smallkiddo26 ,
I confirm. You can't configure an IPv6 address on the fast ethernet port because it is a switched port. You will need to assign the IPv6 address to a VLAN interface instead.

If I configure on vlan int. all the devices that connected to the router will get the ipv6 address ?

Yes, all devices configured as part of the vlan will get IPv6 addresses.
