ipv6 dhcp relay with prefix delegation

Hi,

I'm trying to implement ipv6 dhcp relay agent using ISR 1841 as the relay agent.

both client and server are ISC's implementation.

The problem i'm facing is that eventough the DHCP Server sends the prefix delegation option to the client the ISR 1841 doesnt implement the static route that it should according to the documentation (When a prefix delegation option is found by the relay agent, the relay agent extracts the information about the prefix being delegated and inserts an IPv6 static route matching the prefix delegation information onto the relay agent.) this is taken from Cisco's IPv6 documentation.

Hello Yakov,

This functionality is not supported on M/T trains.

Regards,

Salman

Hi Yakov,

I further checked with the PM to confirm. This feature is not yet supported on the T-Train. The feature in question is “DHCPv6  Relay Agent notification for Prefix Delegation” which is supported on all the Cisco switch trains and on the ASR1K & 7600 platforms. We intend to bring this feature to the T-train by mid to late 2012.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Salman
