Hi Team,
I'm looking for IPv6 IP SLA config for my c3845. The plan is to ping the remote site and if it timeout, then this will generate syslog or SNMP trap.
I checked " Configuring ICMP Echo Operations" Cisco document and all config for IPv4 not Ipv6. I tried diffrent IOS ie.. c3845-adventerprisek9-mz.151-4.M.bin and still not seeing IPv6 x:x:x:: under icmp-echo.
Any idea?
Thanks

FN says it’s supported with 15.1(4)M and I verified it as well on a router running 15.1(4)M1:
R1(config)#ip sla 1
R1(config-ip-sla)#icmp-echo ?
Hostname or X:X:X:X::X
Hostname or A.B.C.D Destination IPv6/IP address or hostname
You should open a SR with the TAC as something is definitely going wrong in your setup
Thanks,
Laurent

hm, maybe you need
ping ipv6 xxx:xx:xx:xx:x ?

Need someting automatic to check/ping every 5 second, and if unable to ping the remote site then this will generate trap to the server either (SNMP or Syslog).
I found some config in the link below. However looking to see if someone know what IOS it support in the C3800. Itried
c3845-adventerprisek9-mz.124-24.T2.bin & c3845-adventerprisek9-mz.151-4.M. and no luck.
Thanks
ip sla 1 icmp-echo 2001::214:A8FF:FE7A:ED70 ip sla schedule 1 start-time now

Hi,
It’s not enabled by default. Please use the ip sla logging trap command. Please refer to the link below for usage guidelines:

Thank Laurent, do you know which code/feature set to use with c3800?
as I tried 3 codes and when i enable IP SLA see below I did not see v6 choice, I'm looking for a code that will show up IPv6 address like v4 address below:
AN1212#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
AN1212(config)#ip sla 1
AN1212(config-ip-sla)#icmp-echo ?
Hostname or A.B.C.D Destination IP address or hostname, broadcast disallowed
Thanks for the help.

Thanks Laurent,
15.1(4)M1 with adventerprisek9- feture set supported IPv6 IP SLA. Need of course to enable IPv6 and assign IPv6 address on the interface to see the
R1(config-ip-sla)#icmp-echo ?
Hostname or X:X:X:X::X
Thanks again,

Hello everyone, i'm using c7200-adventerprisek9-mz.152-4.M7.image and it does not support ipv6 SLA. Which ios of C7200 support the SLA for ipv6?
