Cisco ASR 9000 IRB

Hello,

I have a failure case about IRB

I have 2 asr 9010 and 3 asr 903 like the picture

Cisco ASR 903: i create a Pseudowire to Bride-domain KH1-CN3 of ASR 9010

Cisco ASR 9010: i create a bridge-domain KH1-CN3, routed to interface BVI 3 (vrf KH1)

From Router: i can ping gateway 10.0.2.1 in Cisco ASR 9010.

But when in failure scen like this

 

From Router: i can't ping gateway 10.0.2.1 in Cisco ASR 9010

Pseudowire still "up", BVI 3 still "up"

I can only ping 10.0.2.1 when i do the command :

"int bvi 3

shut

commit

no shut

commit"

Can anyone help me to explain it.

Hello Quoc,

I agree it should work without the shut/no shut cycle of BVI3 on ASR9000-1.

Are you using real devices or VIRL?
