we have two sites and we`r using on both locations and both fabrics MDS9124 FC Switches, CWDM-MUX8A - 8-channel (1470, 1490, 1510, 1530, 1550, 1570, 1590, and 1610) multiplexer/demultiplexer with monitor ports and LC connectors) -
The connection between the locations is dark fibre.
My physical connection will be MDS9124<---------->CWDM-MUX8A <-------------Dark Fiber (single mode)------------>CWDM-MUX8A <------------->MDS9124
Planing to connect my MDS9124 with the CWDM-MUX8A by using the following CWDM-SFPs
CWDM-SFP-1550= Cisco CWDM 1550-nm SFP; Gigabit Ethernet and 1 and 2 Gb Fibre Channel Yellow
CWDM-SFP-1570= Cisco CWDM 1570-nm SFP; Gigabit Ethernet and 1 and 2 Gb Fibre Channel Orange
CWDM-SFP-1590= Cisco CWDM 1590-nm SFP; Gigabit Ethernet and 1 and 2 Gb Fibre Channel Red
what is the best practice? please advise and correct me if i am wrong.
one more question is there any difference if i use single mode or multi mode fiber patch cable between MDS9124 and CWDM-MUX8A
