ME3400 ip arp table shows 127.0.0.20 SNAP Virtual1 - what is it?

Hi,

I 'm looking into an issue where "ARP response" packets are intermittently going missing over a Metro Ethernet WAN link service. This service is built over several ME3400 switches and also a single Cisco ME3600 in the middle which I manage and have remote access to. I suspect the packets are being dropped by our carrier, but I am suspicious about these "SNAP Virtual1" entries which I can see on two of our ME3400 switches, but not in other switches. Has anyone ever seen or know why these appear in the "sh ip arp" output.?  The MAC address is the Base ethernet MAC Address as verified with the "sh ver' command.

ME3400_SW1#sh ip arp

Thanks,

Carl.
