Hi,
i have an mpls-cloud in which i transport fr-packets from a certain customer in the global routingtable with gre encapsulation.
the problem is that this pe is a 3640 router and the fr-customer has about 1 to 2 mb/s fr-traffic which the 3640 must process-switch to encapsulate this traffic in ip.
so the cpu is about 80-90% of this 3640.
if i transport this fr-traffic over atom does this mean that the 3640 (which is a mpls-pe router) does cef switching ????
if yes - then this would be fine because the cpu-load should go down.
am i able to configure a service-policy to a pseudo wire ??
thanks for any answer !

FRoMPLS is not supported on 3640.
Its only supported on 7200,7500,7600,10720 and 12000 platforms.

thanks for ansewer -
if it would be a 7206 - would it be process-switched ??

It would actually be process in the CEF switching path.
Hope this helps,
