Auto mapping of routes to MPLS TE tunnels

Hi,

Is there a way to automatically map routes to different TE tunnels based on some criteria like BGP communities for example?

I know we can map them based on CoS using CBTS, but can we do it based on communities?

In Juniper this can be done using "install-nexthop". Any similar way in Cisco?

Yes absolutely.
SR-TE AS/ODN does exactly this. You can instantiate TE policies based on BGP ext-community color attribute.

Please consult RFC5512 for further details:

https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5512

Kind regards.

Thanks for the reply.
This looks very exciting!
But it requires a lot of different pieces: sr, bgp ls, pce, pce server.
I'm looking for a much simpler solution.
The TE tunnels are already created (manualy), all I want is to route traffic thru them based on bgp communities.

Hello,

I'm not aware of such feature in MPLS TE.
Consider though that PCEP, PCE, BGP-LS are not mandatory to run AS/ODN unless you're working on multi-area/level or interdomain path.
