BGP routes disppaer

Here is the topology:

Cisco(7600acting as PE)---ge-----M10(logical router)-----fe----as2br1---fe----as1br1---fe---m10---ge---erx(acting as PE)

Cisco 7600 and ERX is acting as PE at both ends.

IBGP is running b/w m10 (logical router), asbr1 and cisco 7600 and they belong to the same AS 1002.

Running EBGP b/w asbr1 and asbr2 and IBGP b/w as1br1, m10 and ERX

Cisco is running rip.

Now the problem seems to be when customer turn off rip on the link Gig E b/w Cisco and m10 , we don’t see any bgp router on m10.

I believe we should see BGP routes even if we turn RIP off on the link down to cisco.

Also, both M10 is acting as RR for their respective AS.

Thanks for you help

Do you use the loopback IP address or the physical interface IP address For the BGP session between the 7600 and M10? If you use the loopback IP address, you definitely need an IGP for these two routers to learn their respective loopback IP address.

Hope this helps,
