Hi,
I am currently learning MPLS TE and was trying some hands on with the related CLIs on Cisco 7200, release Version 12.4(15)T13b.
While going through some Cisco documentation, I came across below two CLIs.
1. show mpls traffic-eng link-management bandwidth-allocation <interface>
2. show mpls traffic-eng topology
When I compared the bandwidths for a particular interface, I found that the "BW LOCKED" in the first CLI is showing different value than the "Total Allocated BW" in the second CLI.
The "BW LOCKED" showed the value as I had expected based on the TE tunnels reservation requests.
The "Total Allocated BW" however is less than "BW LOCKED". It is sometimes 0 even when the TE tunnels going through that particular link are admin and oper UP.
Are bandwidth reserved and bandwidth allocated (on a particular interface for some priority) two different terminologies ?
I need your help in understanding the meaning of these two fields and when they can show different values so that I can know the missing piece in my understanding.
I was following below documentation.
