Hello All,

I will try my best to explain my network scenario,

see I am have A and B router A is at my location and B is at remote location from A to B we have connected via 2Mb*2 leased lines.

At remote location I have server and from there it is going to the main destination via 10Mb link.

Now our management is try to make other route to the main destination and for it they will implement one router at my location and from there 2Mb line will go to MPLS network and new router at my location will be working in mode HSRP with A Router.

the question I wanted to ask is will the configuration in new router will be same as my A router config and what network I will need to define in MPLS ? and what protocol should I be using ? here everyone is suggesting we should use BGP but I am not very sure on this...what will be advantage and disadvantages?

Please guide me on this...

Any suggestion or refernece to the website is welcome?

If you are connecting to an ISP then u need a BGP else ospf will do for your config.

If I do not misunderstand, the mpls cloud is between Router B and Router A (a new router C HSRP with A).

So you don't need to define anything about mpls, all the jobs are done by your ISP.

Any routing protocol may be used between your Router A and your ISP (CE-PE). But for security perspective, the protocols that support MD5 authentication such as BGP,OSPF,RIPv2 are recommanded.
