How to configure policy-map of l2vpn circuit for not drop ping from CE size 10,000 repeat 1,000?

I used PE as 7600. I tried to test with policy-map since 2Mbps – 8Mbps step 2Mbps, I found ping from CE size 10,000 repeat 1,000 did drop. I tried to configure on WS-X6704-10GE and WS-X6748-GE-TX card by configured l2vpn on sub-interface.

Topology:

CE1 1.1.1.1/30 – PE1 – PE2 – 1.1.1.2/30 CE2

CE1#ping 1.1.1.2 repeat 1000 size 10000
Success rate is 98 percent (981/1000), round-trip min/avg/max = 4/7/28 ms

How should I do?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Do you see similar drops if a pseudowire ping is triggered from PE1 to PE2?. Also try to narrow down the direction where the drop is occuring.

When you trigger the ping from CE2, Check the VC "sent" counter on PE1 and "receive" counter on PE2 (using show mpls l2transport <> details). Also check "show ip traffic" on CE2 to see if all those 10k ICMP echo request are received.

Try to narrow down the direction to continue narrow down the drop.
