Maximun VRFs per box

Hi, I would like to know if there is a maximum number of vrfs i can configure per box- I understand there is a maximum of 32 routing instances i can have per box, for instance one bgp process, one rip process and 30 ospf process but i dont know if i should be worry about how many vrfs i can configure... There is no hard limit on the number of VRFs. The maximum number of VRFs that a box can handle is rather linked to many variables such as number of routes per VRF, routing protocol used between the PE and CE, the CPU and memory resources on the PE and the aggregate throughput you have to handle.

BTW: The restriction on the number of OSPF processes you can run on one router has been lifted in 12.0(27)S. (CSCez47082)

Any way to get guidelines on this for different hardware? Something along the lines of table 2 at:

but for 720s? Or an "estimator calculator/tool" you might use given known h/w limits and number of VRFs and an estimate of routes in those VRFs?

What we really want to know is how many VRFs (with full Internet routing tables) can we have on a WS-SUP720-3BXL?

(table one) says "Up to 1024 VRFs with a total of up to 1,000,000 routes per system." but I'm not sure how to interpret that. Is it 5 VRFs with 200,000 routes each max? Or is it "1024 VRFs each populated with up to 700 routes/VRF for MPLS" as noted at the top?

With 3 OSPF, 2 BGP processes I had tested around 789 VRF instances on 7609 box, without significant impact on the box, BUT once I pumped traffic on all the VRFs the management access to the box went off but teh traffic was being forwarded appropriately.
