Its so simple 7200 router is having all the funtionality in the IOS.
But in 7600 a card sup card is used where the hardware is integrated and responsible for all the forwarding. The main advantage of using the hardware which is asic is the processing.
LFIB means when the traffic will come to that sup it will not send the packet to the control plane, packet will be frded at data plane itself consequent router processes saved and processing speed is high.
