QoS Transport over VPLS

Just want to confirm if the QoS implemented on the CPEs can be transported transparently on a VPLS network.

Hi,

Yes they can be provided your ISP is aware and also offering you to honour/carry your QoS marking across their MPLS cloud.

Hi Smitesh,

Does it mean that if the Customer implemented QoS and the Service Provider is not aware and does not implement QoS o its VPLS cloud, it is possible that the implemented QoS settings from one site will not reach the other site of the customer?

Hi,

Generally if you have VPLS, ISP expects that you will be doing some sort of QoS and design there network, so that customer implemented QoS are carried though their network.

However, there is no harm in confirming the same from ISP.
