Hello
I just wanted to share with all of you that the new "MPLS in the SDN Era" book is already shipping. I know well the two authors and the book, and I can certainly recommend it.
This book's focus is interoperability. Its 900+ pages cover a wide range of MPLS technologies, illustrated with real interoperable scenarios that combine Junos and IOS XR devices.
"In case you’re wondering how one could integrate the traditional protocol-focused world of MPLS with the new software-defined world, you came to the right place. This book has the potential to become the MPLS Bible 2.0."
Ivan Pepelnjak, iNetwork Architect, www.ipSpace.net

David,
Thanks for this information.
Have you read this book yourself? What is your personal opinion on it? Knowing both authors is a valuable asset but knowing the book itself, and providing your own informed opinion is even more important. This is just to make sure that this post is a personal feedback, not just an advertisement ;)
Best regards,
Peter

Hello David/Peter,
the book should be a very good one, clearly being published by OReilly instead of Cisco Press here it appears a little out of context.
I have met Antonio Sanchez Monge in the Juniper EMEA Professional Services meeting in October 2010 in Alicante, He is part of a group that worked very well with Telefonica. Telefonica is now one of the stackholders of Telecom Italia.
At those time the spanish Juniper PS team was one of the best in EMEA. I had a chance to read from "Network Mergers and acquistions" written by other two members of the spanish J SP team and the book was very well and on spot including an explanation of an issue I had in July 2010 with my customer in a Juniper MPLS network.
At the same time I can say the book that was written by you Peter Paluch about CCIE written exam volume I is a very good book, and I have studied it thinking of the CSC threads in which we were both involved. I have felt improved by reading your book Peter.
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Giuseppe,
Thank you very much for your insight!
I also wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your immensely kind words regarding the book I co-authored with Narbik Kocharians. To hear such a compliment particularly from you means a great deal to me. I gladly admit that I have tried to make use of all knowledge I have gained over the years of participating here on CSC, and you have been one of key persons to have helped me grow.
Once again, thank you!
Best regards,
Peter
