hi all

we has 7600 router with WS-SUP-720 card, the technical specification of this card said that it does not support MPLS VPN features.

so is there any solution to use full MPLS VPN features on this router (MPLS VPN functions for both LAN and WAN port).

somebody can help to tell me !

Thank very much

MPLS VPN support depends on the PFC version on your Sup720. PFC3a does not support MPLS VPN.

Upgrade PFC to PFC3b or PFC3bxl.

Andreas

yeah, thanks

Does the PFC3b or PFC3bxl support full MPLS VPN features such as LDP, TDP, MPLS-RSVP-TE, MPLS-DS-TE, QoS, EoMPLS, MPLS traceroute, ...

Now the SUP720 has only 512MB memory, if the traffic is about some Gbps, does it need to upgrade its memory, and how many if it need ?

Thanks for your help

LDP ist supported with MPLS.

For Qos check release notes of 12.2(17d)SXB

For TE,RSVP-TE check rn of 12.2(18)SXD

For EoMPS check rn of 12.2(17d)SXB

MPLS traceroute will be avail. soon.

Think your 512MB mem will limit the number of routes rather in the control plane, not the packets on the data plane.

Cheers

Andreas
