RSVP Tunnels

Hi,

I have two separte Tunnels

r1---r2----r3-----r4-----r5---r6

T1 :  Source R1 Destination R6

T2:  One Hop Tunnel from r1---r2

Will T1 travel inside T2 ?

Say if I have Backup Tunnel to protect r1---r2 or any link in between... will that protection be applied to Tunnel T1 also.. I read that all Tunnels have their own LSP associated and are distinct in nature..

Hi Gaurav,

Each tunnel has its own LSP so T1 will not traverse T2, they will be two // pipes. If you configure FRR link protection, then all tunnels using this link will be protected by this backup tunnel if they asked for it (tunnel mpls traffic-eng fast-reroute command).
