Understanding Problem in QoS Pipe Mode vs. Short Pipe Mode !!

Hi Team ,

I'm facing difficulty in understanding the difference between MPLS QoS pipe mode versus short pipe mode . Even though following some Cisco documentation not able to see them different !!! What main idea I know is that both agree on receiving CE PHB (precendence/dscp) value and send it up to destination CE with same PHB value , and ignore any change the mid of LSP path because it will not propagate to end destination .

Would someone please explain the difference

The two methods are the same up to the point where packets leave the PE towards the CE.

Short pipe, the PE egress queuing policy uses the customers DSCP values,

Pipe mode, the policy uses the SP derived DSCP values.
