Hi Ibrahim Jamil,

Whenever you require to keep the markings end-to-end based on customer requirements and type of QoS supported in the SP core, you implement explicit-null label (0 in IPv4, 2 in IPv6).

Marking is copied from EXP field in MPLS packet from the transport label into the explicit-null label and forward accordingly to the corresponding PE. Note that you might ask your self, "then why don't we keep the transport label until the final hop?", the reason why is that ultimate hop is not supported on XR/IOS-based devices.
