Hi Tiago,

    Go to “services.msc” and stop all the 7 services manually.
    The services to stop would be “CSAdmin”, “CSAuth”, “CSDbSync”, “CSLog”, “CSMon”, “CSRadius”, “CSTacacs”.
    Extract ACS-4.2.0.124.8-SW.zip to ACS_INSTALL_DIR to replace with the new files
    Navigate to ACS_INSTALL_DIR\bin\ from command prompt and execute CSUpdate.exe -upgrade "ACS_INSTALL_DIR\CSDB\upgrade.dat"
    Make sure to put the path in double quotes “” as shown in the above line.
    It will look like this:
    **********************
    C:\Program Files\CiscoSecure ACS v4.2\bin>CSUpdate.exe -upgrade "C:\Program Files\CiscoSecure ACS v4.2\CSDB\upgrade.dat"
    CSUpdate v4.2(0.124)9, Copyright 1997-2009, Cisco Systems Inc
    Database upgrade complete.
    ***********************
    Then go back to “services.msc” and restart all the services one by one.
    Then try to open the ACS GUI and check the status of the patch applied.
    It should show “Release 4.2(0) Build 124 Patch 8”.

Hi Ed, great. It works. Thanks

Could you try update this on cisco.com with a readme.txt together with the patch ? Sometimes we need use this to perform migrations ACS 4.x ==> ACS 5.x

Hi Tiago,

The CCO update might not be possible as the device and SW is coming EOS this year.

But, you always have help on support forums.

Regards

Ed
