[ACS 5.4 Patch 3] error on Administrative Access Control

Hi,

Configuration: VM with ACS 5.4 with patch 3. (upgraded from 5.2.0.26 patch 10)

When I go on "System Administration" - "Administrators" - "Administrative Access Control" - "Authorization", I got this error:

Capture.JPG

What I tried:

"acs backup" on this server and shutdown

Install  an ACS 5.4 with patch 3 on new VM --> I don't have the problem on GUI

"acs restore" to restore my configuration on new server --> I got this problem again...

I want to use this feature...

After this error, others pages generate this error:

Capture.JPG

I have to reload server or restart management service to get him back...

How could I solve this? (I don't want to reconfigure manually the server )

Thanks for your help,

Patrick

CSCuf93782   ACS 5.4 F5 or Refresh causes window freeze

As part of this fix , F5 is disabled and If the User do operations  like reload/refresh,  multiple navigation clicks and duplicate session on same browser . we are printing below alert message.

You are getting this alert because of one or more of the following reasons :

1) You clicked on multiple navigation links. Wait for the previous operation to complete .

2) You opened duplicate session on same browser. Close the duplicate session.

3) You reloaded/refresh the browser. Logout and Login again.

Hi Jatin,

Even if I close my browser and open a new session, I got this error...

I think that "System failure" causes this bug.

I have to reload the appliance or to restart management service...

I installed manually my server instead of restoring backup...

Now it works

Thanks anyway !

Patrick

yeah, I agree. only logout and login again helps. happy to know its working now.

Jatin,

We here at NIU are having the same problem. I have logout & re-login. I have stop and restarted acs services. I have rebooted my computer and the acs server. I'm still getting this error.

You are getting this alert because of one or more of the following reasons :

1) You clicked on multiple navigation links. Wait for the previous operation to complete .

2) You opened duplicate session on same browser. Close the duplicate session.

3) You reloaded/refresh the browser. Logout and login again.

Any other ideas beside starting scratch. Thanks

ACS displays an "ACS: Resource not found" error on editing the attribute type in the AD page.

ACS displays an "ACS: Resource not found or internal server error" message.

This problem occurs when you do the following:

a. Choose Users and Identity Stores > External Identity Stores > Active Directory > Directory Attributes.

b. Perform the attribute retrieval operation for any Active Directory user. Choose the attribute with the type string. For example, choose the name attribute.

c. Choose Access Policies > Access Services > Default Network Access > Authorization and create a rule with the condition as AD1:name with a value, and click Submit.

d. Now, choose Users and Identity Stores > External Identity Stores > Active Directory > Directory Attributes and edit the datatype of the name attribute from string to IPv4 Address, and click Submit.

Workaround:

Refrain from modifying the Active Directory attributes type after is created and used in a policy.
