I have an ACS ver 5.8.0 server running on ESX5.5, the acs server does not seem to have vmware tools installed, it would seem it's supposed to install at installation but it is not. Is there a way to install vmware tools?

Can you confirm that your ACS is installed on a supported VMware version (5.5 or 6.0) per the installation guide?

Everything looks good with the exception of the guest operating system set to Other linux (32-bit) verses Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (64-bit), and network adapter Flexable verses E1000 as specified in guide.
Although even if I changed say the guest os selection not sure if it would detect something and install vmware tools?

I have the same problem. This was originally deployed many versions ago and was originally guest OS of "other linux 32bit" along with the Flexible network adapter. Now, after numerous ACS upgrades/patches, along with the numerous VM environment upgrades to 6.0, I noticed the discrepency after applying 5.8 patch 8. I changed the Guest OS to "Red Hat Linux 6 (64 Bit), but have not attempted to correct the network adapter type. Anyone know if it ADE-OS will just update with new NIC driver as needed?
Thanks,
Tim
