Cisco Secure ACS 5.2 Appliance- High Availability- Licensing Req

Hi All,

I just want to know if i need to support High Availability in Cisco Secure ACS 5.1 appliance, will the base license suffice or do i need to buy Security Group Access System License/ Large deployment License. Again, do we require license for each appliance or just one is enough?

I Suppose the licensing rules are same for the Vmware version also?

Licensing requirements are as follows:

- one base license for each appliance. You cannot join multiple appliances into a deployment if they have the same license ID

- large deployment license is required if have more than 500 devices defined. Devices are counted accrording to the number of IP addresses defined. So if define a subnet with 16 possible devices will count as 16. Only need one large deployment license for all the appliance connected in a deployment

- Security Group Access System License is required only for a specific subset of functionality related to the SGA solution. If you don't know what this is then I guess uyou don't need the license
