Hi,
I use a Cisco3640 for dialin and dialout. For the dialout I would need accounting of the calls since there is a billing needed. We use a ACS unix 2.3(6.1) as tacacs-server.
On the router there are dialer profiles which are used for dialin and dialout. So the user itself is not different between dialin and dialout. Is there any difference in the accounting entry which I can use??
Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,
I'm sorry that I'm not answering your question. I'm actually in a very similar problem and hoping that you can provide me with some clues on resolving this problem.
I'm basically need to find out who's using the modem, for how long and the dialout number. Do you know how to obtain this ?
I'm using Steel-belted Radius server with C3640 router and 10 digital modems.
Much thannks

Hi,
for accounting you should need anything like the following config line I think:
aaa accounting network default start-stop group radius
and additionally the option "callout" like "ppp authentication callout". With a very new IOS eg. 12.2(15)T you should not need this "callout"-option (said by TAC), but my config then gets another problem so I have not tested this till now.

Chris
