I try to test 2.2 patch 6 in my lab, but I keep getting : " Error generating md5/sha256 crypto hash"
What's the problem? How can I fix?
thank you.

Please check ade/ADE.log file and see whether it indicated any anomaly around the time of the error. Engage Cisco TAC if possible.

Try installing the patch via ISE admin CLI.
What is the system spec of the primary ISE node? VM? The number of CPU cores and RAM allocated?

let me try with CLI.
It is 3595 SNS server dedicated for PAN in lab.

Did you verify the MD5 hash of the patch file after downloading it?

yes, I did check MD5 checksum. They are match .

File corruption can happen even with transfer from your server to ISE. Please check the checksum on ISE.
and as Hsing mentioned, good idea to engage TAC here.

Hey all, I see this has been resolved but i don't see the answer here.
What was done by TAC to resolve this issue?
I had the same error last night after pushing the "install" button.
I was trying to do a GUI upgrade from ISE2.6 - 6 to ISE 2.6 -10.
MD5 checked out.
I don't think the file quite loaded into ISE.
I got around this by using the CLI method.
At first I thought is was a Firewall Issue (CLI uses FTP and GUI uses https:) but My FTP server and ISE node are on the same subnet - so can't be that.

Hi @jvujcich ,
since the same file was successfully used for the patch install via CLI ... worth the shot to try a different browser.
Hope this helps !!!

Oh yeah, Wish I'd thought of that last night! Anyway, will try that next time.
Thanks.

I just wanted to say that I had the same issue, the same error I saw but the patch was installed, it showed me the error but still, ISE accepted the patch. any explanation?
