ISE 2.4 SNS 35x5: Can the MAC address be configured for non-CIMC interfaces?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to configure a NIC bonding for two gigabit ethernet interfaces (date interfaces, not CIMC). However, I have the following requirements:

1) That the MAC-address be configurable on the SNS. This can be done before ISE installation if necessary, although not mandatory.

2) That the active interface in the NIC bond always uses the same MAC address, regardless of which interface is in fact the active one.

Are these doable?

On a VM you should be able to create a user defined MAC address in the vNIC, but in ISE hardware appliance there is no way unless you can get under the Linux hood.

With NIC Bonding (or teaming) the two adapters have the same MAC address.  This is how teaming works - the standby adapter checks the health of the primary adapter every few milliseconds and if the primary fails then the secondary takes over  (goes active) - with the same MAC address of course.
