ISE 3400 End of Support Dates Clarification

Hi,

 

The 2 key end of support milestones for the ISE 3400 series hardware in the End of Sale notice are shown below. Please advise on what happens after 31st  October 2019 (relating to application software), if a TAC case is raised on ISE. Will normal troubleshooting and support be provided? Or will only direct hardware faults be supported after this date?

 

Last Date of Support: App. SW

The last date to receive applicable service and support for the product as entitled by active service contracts or by warranty terms and conditions. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.

Regarding "Last Date of Support: App. SW", below is an excerpt from our PM team:

That is the last day TAC will take questions regarding the ISE software on this appliance. That is the rule. I think you will find that TAC will take the call until the software is no longer supported provided it is not a hardware issue.
