ISE licenses Query

Hi team,

We have current ISE deployment with base license serving corporate users . Now we want to use Guest portal for guest user authentication. 

As per Cisco ISE document, we required ISE essentials license. URL and snapshot as below:

Cisco ISE Guest Use-Case

ISE creates local accounts for Guests. These accounts can be created by an employee hosting the Guest (the Sponsor) using a built-in portal or created by the Guest themselves by providing some basic info. The Guest can receive credentials via email/SMS and use that to authenticate themselves to the network and thereby get network access. The admin can define what level of access to provide to such users.

Required license: ISE Essentials

Please suggest , if we have base license , do we need to go ISE essentials license subscription?

 the ISE Licensing Model has: an Old Model and a New Model:

Note: Base - Old Model ... Essentials - New Model !!!

Take a look at: ISE Ordering Guide, search for What's New.

For a better understand of the Old Model, check the Cisco ISE Licenses, search for Table 1: Cisco ISE License Packages.

Could someone kindly assist me with this matter? I have a customer who currently has an expired ISE license and needs to enable the guest portal in ISE. Additionally, they want to integrate it with an SMS gateway. Is it possible to accomplish this without renewing the ISE license?
