Hi all,
I need to upgrade an ISE deployment from 2.6 patch 3 to ISE 3.0 patch 3.
I seem to remember either reading or being told by a TAC engineer that it is best practice to upgrade to the latest patch in the current major release, before upgrading to the target major release but I can't find this written down anywhere.
Therefore I should apply patch 10 to the ISE 2.6 deployment before starting the main upgrade to ISE 3.0.
Is this common knowledge? Does anybody else do this? Have I dreamed it and made it up?
Thanks!

Is this common knowledge?
IMO, yes, and I totally agree with TAC. 100% of the time on bundle upgrades I always install latest patch for version I am on and always suggest doing this. Doing so will make your bundle upgrade time shorter in the long run. HTH!
