join both ise nodes to active directory?

i'm sorry if this question is too much of a newbie question. or has been covered else where but only one of my company's two ise nodes is joined to my company's microsoft active directory. the other node should be joined too right? 

background info: 
joined node is the primary, a psn, a pan, and mnt
the other node is a psn, a mnt

thx. another newbie level question, joining the 2nd node is impactless? just want to know what i can expect even though i'll need a change window for this.
