No more access in CLI mode with the admin account on the ISE

Hello,

The admin password in CLI does not work.

To try to fix this problem, we used the following procedure:

(Perform Password Recovery for ISE Command Line Interface (CLI) - Cisco)

Unfortunately, we can't type option number 1 (see attachment).

The keyboard key is not showing.

In fact, it's a VM

Otherwise, one is in used version is 3.1.0.518

Best Regards,

What hypervisor?

Hello,

We tested with several keyboards, the result is the same.

For information, the VM is hard HyperV

BR,

What version of ISE? Use a gen-1 HyperV VM instead of gen-2

I encountered a similar problem with ISE 3.1 with patch 5 several days ago. Finally I managed to resolved the issue by restarting the ISE VM from ESXi and when ISE came up, everything worked as normal.

Hello Guys,

My related question:

Is ISE compatible with HyperV?

The ISOs I found only work with ESX

Otherwise, the ISE version is 3.1.0.518

BR,

At least from 3.0 (and presumed earlier) ISE can run under hyperv :

Thank you for this confirmation.

Do you think this display issue is related to the following bug CSCwb97579?

Hello,

The ISE server was stopped and then restarted. Unfortunately, this problem is still present.
Do you have any idea of the origin of this problem?

BR,

I'm possible to tell from this information.  A TAC case should be your next step.
