dear all, has anyone ever tryed implementhing called id on pppoe ?
i know that it only works for isdn and modems, but is there anyway that i can modify the artribute or an alternative solution to track clid via pppoe ?

No..no concept called "CallerID" for PPPoE. As callerid is for telephone line while pppoe is a dsl technology which operates above audio frequency which is used for telephone.
So no way to track it.

so lets say i have senario where i have dialup user and pppoe user using the same Radius server for accounthing i can know which of the users are using dial up to connect to the service via called id ( a party number ), is there a way i can tell when the user are connecting via pppoe. simlier to the dial up implementation.

Callerid will be always included in the accounting start packet by default if it is received on the router when the call came in. So if router is receiving the call on a isdn/cas line and callerid is presented during that time, it should be included in the accounting packet.
Following debug on a router
debug aaa accounting
debug radius
will confirm that
