Problem export CiscoSecure logs to a sql server

Hello,

We have CiscoSecure v3.2(2) Build 5 on w2k.

We sent the log file to a sql server via odbc to make logs analysis.

But when we stop or reboot the sql server, the authentication radius or tacacs doesn't match anymore until the server is again available.

Have you an explanation of this behaviour ?

Is it always the case with last version 3.3 ?

Thanks.

The only way that CiscoSecure ACS is able to interact with SQL is via an ODBC interface, and this would only happen if you were actually authenticating the users to SQL via an ODBC interface. Even with this in place, however, ACS itself will take care of all of the logging, and these logging records will not be sent across to SQL. Also, ACS does not have a mechanism for exporting any of its files into another database. The accounting logs themselves are saved in the standard Comma-Separated Value (CSV) format, so they can be imported from most database utilities, such as Microsoft Excel.
