Hi,

I am trying to restore an ACS backup on ACS v5.4 and am getting the following error:

ntec-nclab-acs0/blancas# restore ntec-nclab-acs0-WLAN2-130226-0400.tar.gpg repository BackupRepository application acs

Restore may require a restart of application services. Continue? (yes/no) [yes] ?

Initiating restore.  Please wait...

Backup file does not match installed application

% Application restore failed

ntec-nclab-acs0/blancas# sh application

<name>          <Description>

acs             Cisco Secure Access Control System 5.4

Here is the content of the repository:

ntec-nclab-acs0/blancas# show repository BackupRepository

ntec-nclab-acs0-WLAN2-130222-0400.tar.gpg

ntec-nclab-acs0-WLAN2-130223-0400.tar.gpg

ntec-nclab-acs0-WLAN2-130224-0400.tar.gpg

ntec-nclab-acs0-WLAN2-130225-0400.tar.gpg

ntec-nclab-acs0-WLAN2-130226-0400.tar.gpg

ntec-nclab-acs0-WLAN2-130227-0400.tar.gpg

Any help would be appreciated!

Ben

Are you trying to restore backup of ACS 5.1 to ACS 5.4?

If that is the case then it's not supported. You can only restore ACS 5.2 and 5.3 backup  to ACS 5.4.

Thanks for the reply Jatin but we are attempting restores from the same version of code.  Just from a previous backup taken a couple of days ago using the Schedule Backups function on 5.4.

Ben

The issue was that I was using the "restore" command when I should have been using the "acs restore" command.  Issue resolved.

Thanks Ben! This worked for me

Great tip, worked for me too.

Thank you Ben that worked for me as well

Thanks, it worked for me also :)

In my case, I used "acs restore" and had the problem. The solution was to use only "restore". So also try the other option if you have the problem.
