Hi
I am unable to log in remotely to the admin interface for ACS, logging on locally is fine however. I can get to the login screen, and am able to supply the username and password although when I click to log in I get:
Logon failed....protocol error.
I have scoured the www and cannot find any reference to this particular issue, hence this post. I have checked the access policy for the system and there are no rules in place, i.e. it is wide open.
Any ideas?
Thanks
R

Usually stopping/starting the CSAdmin service via the Control Panel will fix this. I've seen it a couple of times over the past 2 years, so it's pretty rare and seems ot be when the CSAdmin service gets itself in a knot.
A reboot of the server might also be necessary, but usually just restarting CSAdmin will resolve it. Note that you can't stop/start the services via the GUI, cause this restarts all the services EXCEPT CSAdmin, you have to do it via Control Panel - Services.
On one occasion I've also seen it appear when the user wasn't using port 2002 in the URL. He was typing in just http://

Excellent info, worked a treat, thanks very much. Perhaps someone at Cisco could create a support doc about this one?
Thanks again,
