We have purchase VM-ise for our lab to test and after it's up for a few days you can't connect to it via gui. When you connect to it via ssh you get black screen and you can't enter any commands only blinking cursor. The only way I an get it back to normal state is to power cycle it? Is anyone else having this problem? The vm is running on vSphere.

Your VMware environment has snapshots occurring against/on the VM. This could be an external backup process, or snapshots being done by VMware itself. Either way, you need to exempt any ISE VM from all snapshots to avoid this issue.
To get your VM back working, you need to reset the power in the VMware console as you have found. This is a very common issue we see with VMware and your symptoms are a perfect match.
