Hi to all,

I've tried to upgrade my 4331 router and in process deleted old image.

Now it doesn't boot up and always goes to 'rommon' mode.

Can anybody help me with this case?

There is no valid IOS file to boot.  Someone has erased the flash.

The fastest way to get the router to boot the IOS is to use a USB flash drive.

The command to boot an IOS from ROMmon is "boot usb0:IOS_filename.bin".

Are you able to see the new image in bootflash by using the dir (or dir bootflash) command?

Once you confirm it exists on the router you should be able to use the boot command to load the new image version.

If you are able to get this far you will then probably have to set the boot image in the actual configuration something like this:

boot system flash bootflash:<image name>

Dear Ben,

we tested ios, but it didn't boot, so after this we deleted old image to test again and the router didn't boot after this. It's only goes to rommon. So there is no old image and the new image doesn't work.

Is there any way to upload new image to router?

Console into the router and reboot.
We want to see what the router is doing.

Here is log from router.
