I have a 4431 ISR that I recently upgraded to the 16.12.2r ROMMON and now it is stuck in a recycling loop that creates loads and loads of dump files that will not allow the IOS to boot the device normally.
I have tried changing the CONFREG boot options=No result
I have tried doing a factory reset=nothing happened because it doesn't alleviate the flash mem issue
I have tried erasing the files from the ROMMON boot menu=there is NO DELETE option in the ROMMON menu
I have tried booting from a TFTP server externally=nothing happened, went back into recycling loop
Is there a way to wipe and restart this item without bricking it?
Or better yet, how do we bypass the ROMMON to create enough space to get into the directory and clear the offending core files?
Also, we turned off the debugging function but it still dumping the core files into the flash that are causing this issue in the first place.

post dir output to understand the issue. ( what files filled with flash)

Thanks Balaji.bandi,
The dir flash files are core files(offending dump files with .gz extension) and the IOS and ROM bin/pkg files. The plan was to upload the new IOS then go in and delete the old... No option to delete from the rommon mode...Crash happened before I could get to that point

Finally found/ formatted/ was able to implement from USB... FAT formatting was what was stopping the external USB from working. We are currently monitoring the device to see if the dump files will reappear. We have an identical router with all of the same specs including IOS/ ROM upgrades at the same time that is NOT having any of the same issues. Thanks everyone!

if upgrade success, you can remove this file
isr4400-universalk9.03.13.04.S.154-3.S4-ext.SPA.bin
let us know outcome.

Console into the router and reboot the router.
Post the entire boot-up process. We want to see what the router is (not) doing.
