6500 Failover pair - load balancing config help

I have a pair of failover 6509s running IOS Ver.12.1(22) as core switches that perform all L3 switching in the enterprise VTP domain; I'm looking to configure them for optimal load balancing of all VLAN traffic from the edge switches, while maintaining the HSRP failover state of both.

Is there a good reference document out there that will help me configure this?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction;

Unfortunately, I haven't taken the BCMSN yet - it all looks like Greek! :-P

I just passed the CIT and have been working on the BCRAN (after failing BCSI...); maybe I can delay this project until sometime in October... :-)

Anyone out there want to distill the MST/PVST config procedure down to plain English, for a mere CCNA?
