Hello all,
I have a network with several Cisco routers. I noticed that in the past year, a number of devices sent out a message of
"%PLATFORM-5-ECC_MSG: A corrected single bit error has occurred in L2C Data Cache at location" with different locations.
It may be important to say that each device sent the message only once, and that the messages didn't appear in the same time.
What is the meaning of these messages? Is there any chance they are related to one another?

Hey,
this is probably a small hardware issue, which is well explained in this thread. If this message appears only once (or very seldom) it is probably insignificant. However, if it starts to repeat more often, especially with different "locations", you might need to replace the DRAM (contact Cisco TAC for more information).
As for the second part of your question, the messages are most likely unrelated.
