Can I configure an ACL on a Cisco 3550 Catalyst switch? If so, is there anything special I need to configure on the switch other than the ACL?

The Catalyst 3550 does support ACL's. Please refer to the document at the link below for more information about the types of ACL's supported as well as configuration information for them. Once you have the ACL defined, all you need to do is apply it.

Can I configure an ACL on a Cisco 3550 Catalyst switch? Yes.
Here is the complete book on the 3550 Switch configuration guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps646/products_configuration_guide_book09186a008040c4a1.html. Skip to this bit http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps646/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a008031ffd9.html which is the "Configuring Network Security with ACLs on 3550s" section.

Josef.
