Activate Licence

Hi,

I'm trying to enter a Security Plus licence activation key on an ASA and am getting the below error:

Validating activation key. This may take a few minutes...
not supported yet.
ERROR: The requested activation key was not saved because it is not
valid for this system.

I'm wondering does this validation check be done within the firewall itself or does the firewall need internet access to make this check?

Hi,

when you generating license, make sure serial is correctly entered. use 'show inventory' command to get correct serial. also in ASDM license page you can see serial which need to use for license generate.
