One of our clients has prime infrastructure 2.2.
It was an upgrade from WCS.
During the upgrade they bought: WCS to Prime Infrastructure 2.x Upg 100 Device L-W-PI2X-100-U
Now they want to add additional devices (switches) so they need 50 additional licenses.
What licenses do they need?
Is it Lifecycle or assurance licenses?
Or perhaps both?
Regards.

Hi Kasper
In the previous versions to 2.x you needed to buy both Prime LMS and WCS to manage wired and wireless devices, but with CPI 2.x and later you don't need to buy licensing to manage Wireless devices separately anymore.
Now you have migrated your licenses from WCS to CPI 2.2, and need more licences to manage additional wired devices you only need to buy additional Lifecycle licenses as you need. Assurance licensing is intended for Netflow.
Check the guide for CPI 2.x:

Hi maucapina
For some reason I'm not able to access that link.
Do you know the part number for the licenses?
Regards.

Hi Kasper
I don't know what happens with the link, look at the bellow link, page 79 shows CPI 2.x part numbers:
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/cloud-systems-management/prime-infrastructure/presentation-c97-735996.pdf
First you need to choose top level SKU then the license package you need, for instance if you need additional 50 licenses:
First R-PI2X-K9, then L-PI2X-AS-50-P
