adsl modem does not work on cisco switch 2960

hi.i have a d-link adsl modem and i want to share internet for my clients on local network, but when i connect it to switch, its port disable immediately, my switch works well and i use it,but can't connect adsl to switch.

 - Presumably there is a conflicting port setting for the designated connection (where the adsl modem is connect to) ; check the switch logs when the port gets disabled ,

can you post show run config of switch - when you connect to ADSL - post show interface gig x/x

Hi

 You can share the switch config here but as per the description you might have BPDU guard confgured on the switch side or Port-security.
