Hi,
On a few occasions we have experienced issues with a stack switch where it has failed. The problem is Cisco Prime 2.2 does not notify us because the stack IP address it still contactable.
The stack does produce a syslog but it is only an informational notification.
Does anyone know of a way we can programme Prime to alert us when we lose a stack switch?
Jamie.

Hi Jamie
Don't know if this works in PI 2.2 and haven't tried it myself.
In PI 3.0 you can change the severity of alarms under Administration->Settings->System settings->Alarm and Events->Alarm and events
There should be a simular way in PI 2.2

Hello Jamie,
To piggy back off of johanfogel, try following the Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.2 Administrator Guide chapter 6 that goes over how to change the alarm severities. Follow this link to get to the digital pdf:

Hi,
Thanks for messages. Unfortunatly there is nothing in that section that would enable me to receive alerts should a mid stack switch die.
