Hi,
Does anyone know how to automatically backup vlan.dat of a switch to Cisco Prime 3.0 or if it's even possible?
Thanks!

No because it is redundant.
VLAN.dat file is based from the switch config.

Leo,
Yes it is redundant but just letting you know it is doable(see attachment). When Details is clicked in Vlan Configuration, it will download the vlan.dat file of the switch. It works great for 6500, 4500, and 3850 switches but not with Nexus switches even if vlans are configured.

I believe vlan.dat is fetched via tftp. That is not changeable within PI.
The Nexus platform does not support that transport method - thus PI cannot get the file from them.
